Your artists for the evening...

WICK-IT THE INSTIGATOR
(Yung and Ugly, Everything's Nice, Workforce Rebellion - Nashville, TN)
https://www.facebook.com/DJWickit
http://www.soundcloud.com/wick-it
http://www.twitter.com/DJWickit
http://www.wickittheinstigator.tumblr.com/

He’s got a reputation for doing some thoughtfully fresh and mindblowingly original remixes that take him from beyond a standard dub step or mash-up artist to a DJ/producer with skills that have turned heads and caught ears all over the Southeast. In a live setting, he sends people off with his mix of humor, ingenious pop culture samples and beats that can’t be touched. While his roots are firmly planted in hip hop, there is no shortage of heavy electronic bass music at a Wick-It show.

SON OF KICK
(SMOG / WayWay / Muti - London, UK)
https://www.facebook.com/sonofkick
http://soundcloud.com/sonofkick
http://twitter.com/sonofkick

Producer, DJ, and multi instrumentalist Son Of Kick is making waves with his bumping, super-charged live set. A bass-feast packed full of electro, Dubstep, heavy grooves and the insanely unpredictable.
Catch him dropping acapella’s from Method Man or rocking snippets from the Violent Femmes alongside his own productions. On a playing field of his own right now, it was friend and vocalist RQM that recently coined his new style, ‘Psychostep’.

Based in London, S.O.K.’s sound & style has already been picked up by various labels including the Stanton Warrior’s own Beat’s and pioneering London imprint Botchit and Scarper. Recent remix credits include work for labels such as Man Recordings (Germany), ESL Music (Washington DC), Civil Music (UK), and Om Records (San Francisco). With the second release on his own label Way Way Records due out late summer and a single licensed to Berlin glitch hop label Equinox Records due in October, it’s busy times.

In between rehearsals for his live acoustic shows with model Alice Gobet as duo Allovers, S.O.K. has been co-producing alongside the French dj/producer Simbad for the new Grems & Disiz La Peste (Rouge A Levre) album. When not shooting videos for the label or making music for TV and film documentaries he’s working hard on new material for forthcoming shows; including this summer’s Gilles Peterson Worldwide Festival, the O2 Wireless After Party and Yoyo at Notting Hill Arts Club.

Son Of Kick Feedback:

One of the most exciting and inventive producers I’ve heard this year - a fantastic blend of style and energy. (Bassnectar - Om Records/Amorphous/Child's Play – San Francisco)

Bass heavy freshness from Son Of Kick. Definitely a producer to watch for in 2010.
(Mark, Stanton Warriors – Punk/Beats, London)

File Under ‘unexpected pleasure’. (Clash Magazine, UK)

MAD CLASSY

Unleashed on the world in early 2008, Mad Classy (Sharkweek, JE, & Chango) have changed the face of the Texas EDM scene. With an eclectic variety of music tastes and a total of 25+ years DJing collectively, it's no surprise that they are the main force to be reckoned with in the Live Music Capital of the World. In the past 3 years they have hosted and played along side most of the major players in the international Bass Music scene, as well as held down multiple residencies in Austin. Ready to take their show on the road and destroy dance floors across the country, you can be sure you'll be left satisfied, smiling, and barely able to walk. Just like your mom every time they decide to make a surprise visit on those lonely evenings.

COOL SHOES

https://www.facebook.com/WOLFeWOLFmusic
http://soundcloud.com/wolfewolf
https://www.facebook.com/IMKICHEN
http://soundcloud.com/kichenus

Cool Shoes is a collective of bass dj's from the midsouth known for thowing insane bass partys for over 5 years. This party was born in the summer of 2008 out of sheer boredom and a passion for underground party music shared by some friends. What started as a small gathering of folks who wanted to party in a dark room, away from all of the constant shitty top 40 and cheesy house music in the city, this monthly event (thrown in a metal venue) quickly drew the attention of likeminded kids who simply wanted to leave their bullshit at home and have a good time.

Fueled by loud noises and cheap beer, Cool Shoes has transformed into a highly anticipated underground dance party in the Mid-South region yet still keeps the house party gone wild vibe that it's known for. Beats, beer, and bass music is what gets us off and we'd like you to join in on the festivities.
