Just started this new project. Everything at One Hundred and Eleven BPM and a fuck load of variety. Techno, Dub, Dancehall, Ambient, Industrial and whatever the hell I'm feeling like.

I just deleted my soundcloud. I realised that I really don't like looking at waveforms. I'm just scanning for where things drop or go quiet. It sort of ruins the listening experience. I mean, you can look at vinyl and see things, but the waveform thing. Just ick. The magic is kinda lost.

wow. you just reminded me of how i felt that way at the very beginning of making tunes and using programs like sound forge. i got over it, but i remember that same "the magic is lost" feeling.

glad you're only giving up on soundforge, though, and not music in general.

Nah. I'd never give up music. I just think these players are getting too clever. I don't think people should see what's happening under the hood. The only other option is to limit everything to -1dB.
