Ableton

It looks like i'm making the switch, Logic was been overloading my CPU and I'm really interested to see how much more intuitive Ableton is. Hopefully this will help break my current writers block. If anyone wants to work on tunes or trade/hook up their vst collection, holla

i been messing with the lite version jj gave me. i still need to watch more tutorials on youtube. 2013 is the year of ableton for me though. no more writing tracks in my chrome browser, but audiotool has been awesome in helping me get some ideas together and just overall practice.

i'd understand if there was more traffic, but honestly, from a human factors engineering perspective, it's kinda pointless already.

when u sent me the lite version, i was clueless and had no idea how much of a track i could put together with just 8 tracks, cuz i'm used to at least 16 in the browser DAW. so i didn't even dive deep into it. figured i'd learn it when i got the full set -up.

boy was i dumb. now that i got the complete suite, i see just how the workflow is, and i could have been using it since you gave it to me. so intense. and so EASY. holy shit. automation and modulation have never been so effortless. getting my loops together, adding variation, and RECORDING YOUR ARRANGEMENT VS WRITING IT OUT.....my...god. improved my workflow tremendously. 2013 is the year of DJ FootMerc. or at least, some hot tracks!

i really can't get over it. working on a split EP right now with another artist and it's just amazing. really makes me wanna re-do the remix i did for "let it roll" cuz i can already hear the sound quality is different.

if you want to re-do let it roll I am fine with it, but I am in love with the remix you sent so make sure it's similar

still making beats and weird shit in Renoise, but arranging and just coming up with melodic ideas in live is glorious. like so glorious that you could fill like a gigantic hole with all that glory.
