Movies & TV we like...
I like TV and I like movies and i'm sure as hell that you lot do too. I like The Wire, The Sopranos, Entourage and Dexter especially but there are plenty more. Recommend me some good new American (or British) TV for me to watch - preferably with links to watch 'em. Also, recommendations of new/old films that you like will be helpful. Other than that, talk about whatever films/TV you want, 'cause I'm bored as hell.

Oh snap, was that the finale? Shit... I suppose it has to be, can't think of any loose ends, but damn i want more dexter.
Only things i really watch are that, Prison Break, House and Heroes, and i'm totally going to stop watching heroes soon because it is steadily getting suckier. Oh yeah and i will probably go back to lost when it comes back, it started to get good again before the end of the season.

Re: Movies & TV we like...
Ditched my tv, but can get on the d/l for most shows. Watched shitloads of films in the last week
The Bank Job - pretty good thriller set in 70's London, apparently fact based
Begotten - experimental cinema loosely based around creation myths. No dialogue, looks like it's shot on silent age cameras. For all it's limitations, is one of the most compelling film experiences I've ever had. Or pretentious wank depending on your point of view.
The Happening - really don't know what the point of this was, with its pomposity it would have done way better as a black comedy rather than the over-earnest filler that it is.
Boy A and The Life Before Her Eyes - both based on real life events (James Bulger murder and high school shootings), interesting for actually building the personalities behind the monsters and their victims. Also both really sad, so you may want to see this after....
Hot Rod - one of the funniest films I've seen in a long time. Ian McShane as the competetive dad is just too funny (might be remembering him from Lovejoy years back though).
Oh and if you get the chance, watch Stewart Lee - 41st best standup. Don't know if it might be too british reference wise but is implausibly funny

I've been on an Anthony Asquith kick lately. Pygmalion, The Browning Version(by far my favorite), The Importance of Being Earnest, and I found a pretty crappy rip of The Winslow Boy(this film is wonderful).
Also been on a Slavko Vorkapich kick, too...

just watched the pilot of Freaks and Geeks (made by the Judd Apatow dude who did Superbad and that) and it's goood. It's set in a high school in the 80's so i thought it might appeal to you older guys... (and girls

Aah shit i love superjail. Surreal but brutal as hell. The violence in that and metalocalypse is crazy, although i keep finding myself almost talking like Swisgar and Toki if i watch too much.

Re: Movies & TV we like...
Of course the classics... South Park, Family Guy, Futurama (possibly the best show ever), Simpsons... even a bit of King of the Hill
And pretty much anything on Adult Swim. Seriously. About the only time Ill turn it off is when Assy McGee comes on. I didnt like Tim and Eric at first, but now that Ive figured them out, its hilarious. Steve Brule FTW. Oh and the History show they got going is fucking awesome!!!! Look it up on the site if you havent seen it, so dope.
Ive really been getting back into Discovery/History/Science/NatGeo/TLC etc... (they're all basicall the same channel now anyway) documentary style shows since I got cable back. Mega Disasters and The Universe are dope... Love the Dirty Jobs type shows too.
Oh and How Its Made is the sickest shit. I could watch a How Its Made channel all fucking day long. How you make a golf ball, jet engine and cheese puffs all in the same episode? Fuck yeah. All fucking day.
