Re: Hoops Thread
i was watching the oklahoma game against the kings, they look pretty damn good all around. they are doing a good job spreading the ball out and keven durant isn't doing all the scoring for a change.

Re: Hoops Thread
i think ol theo actually used to be an all atar and led the league in blocks multiple times.
My two favorite parts of the game- BLOCKS and passing. i guess shooting is important too.

the spurs on the other hand looked like shit, tim duncan carried the load and if that's how it's going to be then the spurs are in trouble.

Re: Hoops Thread
Webster is tryin' to prove himself 'cause he was out last year and young-ass Batum was beastin' in his place. I like the dude's hunger.
Fuckin' Oden...they tried to force way too much offense through him in the first half last night when they could have had Roy try to pull away early. I'm liking his sudden defensive and rebounding surge, but yeah, he still looks awkward as fuck out there.
Rudy Fernandez always looks like he just farted in someone's face, I love it

Re: Hoops Thread
the blazers should have drafted durant. oden is going to blow his knees out. i still can't get over that move. it's like taking sam bowie over michael jordan, who was also drafted by the blazers. i have to say nobody knows how to waste a good lottery pick like portland.

Re: Hoops Thread
Steve I don't agree. We didn't need a wing guy like Durant during that draft, we needed a big, the Oden move made sense. Also, as easy as it may be to make the Sam Bowie comparison, the difference in obv. talent between Oden and Durant going into that draft wasn't nearly as obvious as the '85 draft(which, frankly, is pretty much unforgivable).
Also, with that said, Durant wouldn't have been utilized nearly enough had he gone to Portland, he would have fallen into the abyss of "too much depth" that's currently got Jerryd Bayless as nearly a 12th man...

Re: Hoops Thread
Oh, and I don't think Portland *always* fucks up on the lottery, look at LeMarcus Alrdige, we got him in a trade on draft day...for fucking Tyrus Thomas. You can't tell me that's anything less than genius.
